Altered Documents
Testing results can be edited after a report leaves the laboratory — potency raised, a failed contaminant panel quietly removed, a date changed.
CannaTrack allows growers, producers, laboratories, retailers, regulators, and consumers to confirm that a Certificate of Analysis is authentic, unchanged, and connected to the correct product or batch — from cultivation lot to final sale.
Traditional Certificates of Analysis are distributed as PDFs, printed documents, email attachments, or links. Once separated from the laboratory system, it can be difficult to know whether the document has been altered, reused, misrepresented, or attached to the wrong product.
Testing results can be edited after a report leaves the laboratory — potency raised, a failed contaminant panel quietly removed, a date changed.
A legitimate COA may be reused for another harvest, product, or production batch — a real report attached to material it never described.
Growers, labs, producers, retailers, and regulators often maintain separate records that are difficult to reconcile when questions arise.
None of this implies bad faith by any party. It is a structural gap: the document and its proof of origin travel separately, so anyone downstream has no reliable way to tell an authentic report from a modified copy of one.
CannaTrack creates a secure digital fingerprint of the COA and anchors that fingerprint to a public blockchain. The original laboratory report does not need to be publicly exposed. Instead, the blockchain record proves whether the document being viewed is the same document that was originally registered.
Linked end to end, these references form a chain of evidence from cultivation to final sale.
Once a laboratory or business is connected, registration happens as part of normal reporting. Verification takes a scan.
The laboratory or authorized business uploads the COA and associated batch information.

SHA-256 · DeterministicThe fingerprint, timestamp, and selected batch metadata are recorded on the blockchain.
Public · ImmutableAnyone with the QR code, report ID, or product identifier can confirm the COA is authentic and unchanged.
Seconds · No accountThe same verification layer, configured for the record each party owns.
Connect laboratory results directly to cultivation lots and harvest batches.
Connect source material, production batches, finished goods, and packaging.
Issue reports that remain independently verifiable after delivery.
Enter a COA number, batch ID, transaction ID, or product serial — or scan the QR code on the package. No account required.
The document matches the fingerprint anchored on chain, and the record is current.
A COA was registered for this identifier, but the file presented differs from it.
Nothing has been anchored for this identifier. Absence of a record is not proof of fraud.
The record was replaced by a newer report or flagged by the issuer or a regulator.
Credibility comes from being exact about what verification does and does not establish.
The laboratory remains responsible for testing accuracy. CannaTrack proves the integrity, timing, and association of the resulting record — which is what downstream parties otherwise have no way to check.
Verification is the core. The platform is what makes it operational across licenses, sites, and partners.
Regulatory requirements differ by jurisdiction and change over time. CannaTrack does not claim to guarantee compliance anywhere. It is designed to support the practices that regulators and auditors ask you to demonstrate:
A hash reveals nothing about the document it fingerprints — but any change to that document, however small, produces a different hash. That asymmetry is what lets sensitive commercial and laboratory data stay private while the proof stays public.
CannaTrack Solutions is developed by SmartLedger.Technology, a blockchain development and enterprise data-integrity company focused on auditable systems, verifiable records, cybersecurity, and scalable public-blockchain infrastructure.
CannaTrack is not an isolated cannabis application. It is one deployment of a verification stack already built for regulated industries where records have to hold up under scrutiny.
